Understanding GST

GST (Goods and Services Tax) is split equally between CGST (Central) and SGST (State) for intra-state transactions. For inter-state, IGST applies at the full rate.

The Formula

GST Amount = Base × (Rate / 100)

Base = Inclusive ÷ (1 + Rate/100)

CGST = SGST = GST Amount ÷ 2
