How It Works

Decision Matrix Method

A Decision Matrix (also known as a weighted scoring matrix) helps you make objective decisions by breaking a complex choice into measurable components.

Weighted Score = Score × Weight

Total Score = Σ (all Weighted Scores)

Normalized Weight = (W / Σ W) × 100%

Steps to use:

  1. Add the options you are choosing between.
  2. Add criteria that matter for your decision and set their importance weights (1–10).
  3. Score each option on each criterion (1–10).
  4. The matrix automatically ranks options by total weighted score.
